How much does a 3D product animation cost?
Pricing is project-based depending on several factors: video length, model complexity, presence of simulation (fluids, cloth, smoke, particles), number of camera angles, and sound design requirements. What is the turnaround time for a 3D animation project?
A typical 30-to-60 second product commercial takes between 2 to 4 weeks from creative kickoff to final render delivery. We work through clear stage gates (Brief → Storyboard/Animatic → Style Frames → Animation → Final Color & Sound) so you see weekly progress and give sign-off before full-resolution rendering. Rush turnarounds are also accommodated when production schedules demand.
What files or inputs do you need from us to get started?
Ideally, CAD data or 3D files (STEP, STP, IGES, OBJ, FBX, Rhino, or SolidWorks). If you don't have 3D data, that's completely fine: our studio can model your product from scratch using real-world reference photos, technical blueprints, or engineering sketches. We will also ask for your brand guidelines (logos, colors, fonts) and any creative references you admire.
Why choose 3D CGI animation over a physical live-action video shoot?
3D animation bypasses all physical production constraints: no shipping prototypes, renting studio space, or paying camera crews. More importantly, 3D allows visual storytelling that live cameras cannot achieve: x-ray internal cuts, exploded components, dynamic lighting shifts, zero dust/scratches, and simulated microscopic close-ups. When your product updates in the future (new colors, finishes, materials), we can update your animation without re-shooting.
What delivery formats and aspect ratios do you provide?
We deliver full multi-platform master packages: 16:9 for YouTube, websites, and presentations; 9:16 vertical for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts; 1:1 and 4:5 for feed ads and social posts. Masters are exported in ProRes 422HQ, ProRes 4444 with Alpha transparency, and web-optimized H.264/H.265 in 4K UHD or 1080p.
What software and animation pipeline does MBM.Studio use?
We build our films using modern industry-standard DCCs including Maxon Cinema 4D, Blender, SideFX Houdini for procedural visual effects and particle simulations, and Unreal Engine. Rendering is executed using GPU ray-tracers (Redshift & OctaneRender), with compositing, motion typography, and sound mastering finalized in Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
Do you sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) for unreleased products?
Yes. A substantial portion of our work involves confidential pre-launch hardware, luxury consumer goods, and proprietary industrial products. We are happy to execute standard or custom mutual NDAs prior to reviewing files or discussing sensitive project details, and maintain secure asset retention and archiving policies.
